Judy Dyble - Talking With Strangers

Dybled-in-the-wool

From 1967 to ’68, Dyble was the original lead singer in Fairport Convention. Here she collaborates with Tim Bowness from No-Man, who produced and co-wrote the songs with Dyble, as well as peforming alongside her. Dyble’s open fragility and English Rose-nature is heard best on the 19-minute nostalgic epic Harpsong. Melodically entrancing and star-studded, Talking With Strangers includes contributions from King Crimson’s Robert Fripp and Ian McDonald, plus Pentangle’s Jacqui McShee. Without a doubt, Dyble’s best album to date.
