Andrew Liles - Miscellany

Experimental mixtapes – not quite for the party

This box set features a swathe of found sounds – the hard-earned spoils of Liles’ rigorous exhumation of old tapes located in his attic. The earliest of these stems from 1984 and is an interesting experiment in tape manipulation. Recording gremlins and the sound of rudimentary technological collapse abet in this collection of lo-fi excellence, which will appeal to fans of Nurse With Wound’s most profound eccentricities. A downpour of the haunting and the bizarre, this set also includes selections from Liles’ work as Lividity.
