Deep Purple - Stormbringer: 35th Anniversary Edition(CD+DVD)
Why did they kick up such a storm?
Stormbringer, the second and last studio album by Deep Purple’s Mark III line-up, Beatles and Stones, but there are highlights, notably a superlative interpretation of I Wanna Go Home, now known as Sloop John B.
The CD is completed by most of the tracks from 1976’s live album, Lonnie Donegan, on his own Tyler label, though why not the lot, as the CD only runs to 61 minutes? These tracks include a very good version of Cyril Tawney’s folk favourite, Sammy’s Bar but, in all, this is a poorly conceived CD.
