Butthole Surfers - Live At The London Forum
Ass-kickin' live document
Roll up, roll up! Come get your double slice of screwed-up American pie right here. Gaze upon the Texan giant they call Gibby Haynes, as he boasts of owning the finest set of female genitalia you ever did see. See him parade his wares if you dare - his rocking Tornadoes and his Sweat Loaf, his preposterous Jimi and his twisted Cherub, as he fiddles with his awesome box of magic tricks. Are you brave enough to bear witness to the magnificent six-stringed freak they call Paul Leary, tearing great swathes in the artificial sky with his frenzied face-melting solos? Prepare to be astonished and amazed, as little Jeff Pinkus plucks out jumping jigs on Moving To Florida and the gasoline-pumping cow-punk of Gary Floyd. Then there's the drumming "siblings", King Coffey and Teresa Nervosa; those wackos are nothing less than a primitive pummelling machine, rocking along with Cowboy Bob's honkin' horn. One night only, ladies and gentleman - one night only, and yet it's all here, deftly preserved on digital - part sick black comedy, part overblown musical for the mentally retired. It's some performance. Roll up, roll up! Live vicariously or relive the memory of a blazing night at the Butthole family circus.
