A Guide To The Outtakes Of Marc Bolan (1964-1977)
by Irving Campbell

Setting the record straight for Bolan

During the 31 years since the tragic death of Marc Bolan, many publications have been released claiming to contain listings of rare and unreleased Bolan material. However, many of these so-called rare and unreleased tracks have, in fact, previously been made available.

Campbell’s inclusive guide aims to ensure that this confusion is put to rest by listing all possible sources for any Marc Bolan material available. This includes unknown unreleased tracks, outtakes and correlating appendices, which are laid out in such a way to ensure that it is reader-friendly.

But a Bolan book would never be complete without some snap shots. Previously unpublished photos can be found along with Japanese tour photos and even some samples of Marc’s writings. There are also examples of TV and gig contracts as well as pictures of his appearance on the missing 5 O’Clock Fun Fair TV show aired in 1965.

On the whole, the information is incredibly concise, well presented and wrapped in a cover with an iconic Warhol-esque image of Bolan, making for the only possible trustworthy guide for Bolan fans.
