Davy Graham - Folk, Blues & Beyond
Finger-picking good
Often associated wholly with folk, Graham – a supreme guitarist – was much more than that. He sucked in other genres from rock to jazz, world music to blues, to create a mélange which he applied to his solo projects, lifting him and his talent above most of his contemporaries’. This album is an ideal reflection of those influences, expertly integrated and beautifully presented. You’ll hear folk standards (Black Is The Colour (Of My True Love’s Hair)), jazz (Better Git Hit In Yo’ Soul) and blues (Cocaine). A welcome reissue well mastered by HiFi specialist Stamford Audio.
