Asmus Tietchens - 4K7

Four LPs originally given 50- only runs in the 80s

In a 1987 interview with Unsound magazine, Asmus Tietchens said, “My music is composed of aesthetic and extraordinary events which make statements for themselves.” Anyone familiar with the results of his tape machine manipulations in the late 60s and early 70s synthesiser experiments will agree. This excellent 4-LP box set contains his first four works from the mid-to-late 70s, originally released in the early 80s as limited editions of 50 on Yorkhouserecords. The albums range from bare, Stockhausen-like irregular sonic patterns, to fiery electronica and dark, foreboding textures. Members of Vinyl-On- Demand’s club will also receive a bonus 7” with two unreleased songs from the late 70s.
