Reaching Mensa levels of prog achievement
Unashamedly prog-rock, this hard working outfit (they’ve produced 14 albums and counting since their 1982 debut) have undoubted talent, proof of which is in their regular creative peaks; witness 1985’s The Wake, 1998’s Subterranea and this reissue, the first ever vinyl version of an album which was first released in 2004. Highlighted by Harvest Of Souls, a 24-minute prog-fest which occupies all of Side Two, the album draws upon politics as a central theme, while weaving strong melodic structures and an uplifting, anthemic framework, ending with an orgasmic bang that will leave all prog heads truly satisfied.
