Guru Guru - UFO
Rare and limited sighting for early Krautrock masterpiece
One of the earliest bands to be associated with Krautrock, Guru Guru began their career as a free jazz outfit, over which another band member would perform spoken word readings. When the reader was replaced with Ax Genrich, (a mean guitarist, as his name suggests), the band blossomed into a Krautrock phenomena. Like a mix between a Hendrix jam session and a soaring Pink Floyd “happening”, with lots of ambient guitar feedback, upon its initial release in 1970, UFO was daring and boundary-breaking. Limited to 500 copies.
