Brighton science students concoct overlooked prog opus

This 1970 rock album was Affinity’s only commercial release. Under the vocal control of Lynda Hoyle, who had power in reserve, they tackled soft-rock and and prog, while never strolling too far from pop structures. If you can’t resist a bit of Hammond-based prog, then you need to get your teeth into Night Flight and the band’s (almost) 12-minute rendition of All Along The Watchtower. Ideal for fans of early prog, it would have been interesting to see how this group would have evolved had they stayed together.
