Foghat - Night Shift
So you want Foghat boogie at its best?
This 1976 set sees Foghat at the height of their stadium success. Opening with the hard-driving Driving Wheel, the riffs and intricate guitar work spills over into Burnin’ The Midnight Oil. After that, the title track is Foghat boogie at its very best, while their version of Take Me To The River is one of the best you’ll ever hear. There’s also the added bonus of the previously unreleased New Place To Call Home. With the Sanctuary releases being long out of print, this is a welcome reissue. The two-page booklet is embarrassingly light and uninformative, but there’s plenty more in the catalogue for them to improve on.
