Family - Music In A Doll’s House (Vinyl)
First Family outing in 1000-only pressing
Fronted by Roger Chapman, the man with a voice like sandpaper, Family were a band that mixed angular art-rock with a blues foundation. Doll’s House was their 1968 debut and, since its release, it has grown into a classic. Although produced by Traffic’s Dave Mason (which might go some way to explaining the Traffic comparisons the album garnered at the time), and despite Family’s contemporaries drenching the hippie-dominated world with psychedelia, this is an album that wallows in blues, folk and pure, unadulterated rock. The sound is different, original and distinct. Recommended for those looking for more challenging 60s fare, this is a limited edition pressing of 1000 only.
