Yet another Giltrap live collection, this time culling 16 tracks from various UK gigs, with a bonus of the filmic/Celtic The Dodo’s Dream as added enticement. But for those without a one-stop to the acoustic genius’ works, this will more than suffice. Among the gems, there is the skipping, emphatic fretting of A Dublin Day, the drifting Camber Sands and roundelays of At Giltrap’s Bar, with its great end bend of the guitar neck. Pedrolino adds a jazzier flavour, before the regal The Lord’s Seat and solemn Under This Blue Sky. Heartsong does as the theme tune, while Down The River offers intimacy before the locomotive crescendo finale of Lucifer’s Cage. As sweet as acoustic guitar instrumentals get.
