Air - Air 5

In 1993, Pete Namlook decided to oxygenate ambient techno with his Air project, bringing in styles such as jazz and world. The fifth instalment, Air 5, features long Eastern drones, Morricone-style soundtracks, a collaboration with Italian electroclash specialist Tying Tiffany, and a translucent, caramelised sound, which is heir apparent to Cluster’s 70s confections.
