Emtidi - Emtidi (Vinyl)

Traditional hippy folk from hippy folks

Canadian Dolly Holmes and German Maik Hirschfeldt were a duo found working in Berlin’s underground clubs in the late 60s/early 70s. This 1970 LP was the first of only two they recorded (the other being slightly more well known Saat from 1972), presenting an acoustic arrangement recalling the early 60s folk revival. Though their material isn’t consistently strong, Emtidi’s honest, pre-electric Dylan folk has an endearing innocence.
