Thin Lizzy - Greatest Hits

One-stop for classic rockers

colleagues’ best rockers including two unissued live takes on the atmospheric Cowboy Song and anthemic The Boys Are Back In Town. While some might moan that it’s here twice, the bookends are warranted for their singability, and in between there are just about all the classics that you could wish from a best of. The insistent Jailbreak, goading Don’t Believe A Word, captivating Dancing In The Moonlight and punchy Rosalie are just the first four tracks after the opener. From the biting Killer On The Loose to snarly Cold Sweat, good-times Whiskey In The Jar and thought-provoking Emerald, there’s all the passion and panache that Lizzy embodied. Solo Lynott and collaborative efforts with Gary Moore stretch the banner but are worthy inclusions, along with a host of other band classics. Any set featuring The Rocker, bringing to mind Not The Nine O’Clock News’ clip of the Rev Ian Paisley, has to be worth owning!
