Holger Czukay - La Luna

Don’t look at the moon

Since leaving Can in the late 70s, Holger Czukay’s solo career has been a twisting river of solo possibility and collaboration with the likes of Jah Wobble and David Sylvain. La Luna, originally released in 2000, is an extended electronic tone poem inspired by the moon, which was aptly recorded live in Czukay’s studio one night in 1996. It was trying upon initial release and all we can say about it now is that it goes a long way to proving Einstein’s theory of relativity, as time begins to pass very slowly during playback, even though the music didn’t reach the speed of light. One to avoid.
