THE WILBERT REMAINS THE SAME
John Hall did a nice piece on Bryan Ferry covers in your April issue (page 122). However Let’s Stick Together was actually recorded by the composer Wilbert Harrison around 1960 for Bobby Robinson’s Fury label. He reworked the song as Let’s Work Together in 1969. It seems to be a common misconception that Bryan Ferry re-wrote the latter song, when he was in fact covering the original version. Anyway, keep up the good work (great to have the Dylan radio programme stuff).
