SYMPATHY FOR THE OLD DEVIL
The Rockin’ the Box Rolling Stones Special (RC 366) was great – particularly the snaps of the Stones performance of Sympathy For The Devil on Frost On Saturday, which show Jagger kneeling and removing his shirt, just like he does during while singing Sympathy... in Rock’n’Roll Circus, filmed just a month later. ‘Greatest rock’n’roll band in the world’ they may well have been, but this unearthed footage proves Mick Jagger has never been anything less than a consummate showbiz performer.
