JINGLE JUNGLE
Just to correct your review of The Who’s album The Who Sell Out (RC issue 361), the jingles used were not mock ones but actual jingles used by the pirate station Radio London, also known as Big L. Recorded, in the main, by PAMS of Dallas, the station was on air from December 1964 to August 1967, broadcasting from the MV Galaxy off the coast of Essex. Anyone interested in these jingles and wanting to know more should visit http://www.pams.com/ or the book Pop Went The Pirates written by Keith Skues.
