MISSING CHARMERS
Excellent article on the 30th anniversary of the release of TCM by The Smiths.
I just thought it might be worth mentioning a couple of ommissions.
1. Here’s (above) the other solid centre that Morrissey objected to so much, you’ll see it has the block rough trade logo as opposed to the Capitol style (as seen in the article), which begs the question that it must have been a second pressing because of the withdrawn Capitol-style logo. So why did they make the same mistake twice?
2. The very well disguised sticker over the Capitol-style logo (above, centre). I feel sorry for the poor staff that must have had to start sticking these stickers over the Capitol-style logo.
3. I know it’s mentioned in the article but here’s the sleeve with the withdrawn Portland St address.
