RUSH N ROULETTE
With reference to the Rush ‘N’ Roulette promo (RC 355, Format of the Month - Double Groovers, page 122), it is more than a mere rumour.... here is confirmation of the existence of this rarity. My 27-yearold disc (above) is mint and unplayed. The six parallel grooves each contain a two minute snippet of each song. Though I have to admit that I’ve never even thought about playing it.
The only other disc I’ve seen like this was the excellent Pop Muzik twelve inch single by M, which had an extended five minute plus mix on one side, and a ‘double groove’ on the other featuring both sides of the seven inch (Pop Muzik’/ M Factor) running in parallel. Quite a novelty at the time and I don’t remember the sound quality being affected at all. Thanks for a great mag. I don’t know how you have managed to keep the standard so high for so long. Long May You Run.
