DOUBLE BURRELL
Concerning this month’s feature on Beatin Rhythm Records in Manchester, and I quote: ‘In terms of high ticket items, owner Martin Koppell sold his copy of Frank Wilson’s Do I Love you to jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell for £15,000’. . . I’m afraid that it wasn’t the noted jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell who bought the record but in fact the noted Scottish builder and record collector Kenny Burrell! Made me laugh though.
