WRONG BEE GEE
Yes, it’s bound to be a winner, yet another programme about buying and selling houses, but with a slight twist: Dead Rockstars Buy Houses! Hendrix invests in a bungalow in Devon, Elvis tries to buy Buckingham Palace and James Brown fancies an old farmhouse in the Welsh valleys. At first I didn’t think this was a go-er, but good old Record Collector restored my faith in this project. For when I turned to page 13 ( lucky for some ? ) of February’s issue, number 333 ( well it’s half of 666)....there was my first programme in the can. Johnny Cash’s Nashville home, auctioned in December 2006, was bought by The Bee Gees’ Maurice Gibb! If ever the writer of this article is betting on a three horse race, perhaps he should only put a small wager on !
