RC’S ANNUAL SURVEY OF THE MOST SOUGHT-AFTER RECORDS OF RECENT YEARS Compiled by Jake Kennedy

It’s that time of year again when we look at the modern end of the collecting spectrum. Where we consider the importance of both Monkey and northern Monkeys. When we compare a deluxe box set that’s held its value to one that’s sky-rocketed. And this year we also take a look at some developing collecting trends.

The criteria for inclusion is simple. To get in our list, the releases have to have not been included before, and must have been released after 1990. And that’s it! We’ve tried to include a wide selection of genres and haven’t repeated any artists. This year we’ve tried to leave out the old guard, instead focusing outside the mainstream wherever possible (but don’t worry, there’s still a fair few old favourites in there).

Finally, please be aware that the chart does not claim to be exhaustive. We’d love to hear from you if you’ve got something worth a bomb that we haven’t featured over the past four years. (Please note, all releases are UK, unless stated otherwise).
